An accessory set of anchors for a model of the Japanese battleship Yamato in 1:16 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
Yamato was a Japanese battleship of the period of the Second World War and, together with her sister ship, the largest battleship ever built. She carried main guns of 460 mm caliber and her displacement exceeded all the opponents of the time. She was lost in the spring of 1945 on a voyage toward Okinawa. For a modeler she is an inexhaustible subject: every item of deck equipment on her is unusually large, and that is why it tells so markedly on a model.
The set takes the place of the anchors of a model with separate parts. An anchor is among the items that are seen at once on a finished model, because it lies on the bow at the eye level of a viewer and neither its shape nor its division can be captured in full depth on a basic part. Check the extent of the delivery, that is the number of parts and any chain, in the manufacturer's catalog sheet.
Before gluing, check in the instructions what material the parts are made of. Cement for plastic does not hold on metal or resin, so use cyanoacrylate glue or a two-part epoxy. Cut the excess material and the marks left by manufacture off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and carefully sand the remainder. Wash and degrease the parts before painting and lay a primer on, or the finish will chip off while handling.
The model of the ship, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
