A wicker seat with a perforated back in 1:16 scale, in two forms: a lower one with a small leather pad and a taller one with a large one.
Responsibility details are not available.
Early aircraft were built for every gram saved, and so wicker seats found their way into the cockpits. They were light, they flexed and they stood up to damp better than upholstery; the pilot sat on them on a leather pad that he added to or took away as needed. The characteristic pattern of woven wicker and the perforated back belong to the elements everyone notices first on a finished model.
The set brings a wicker seat with a perforated back in 1:16 scale, carried in two forms: a lower one with a small leather pad and a taller one with a large one. How many pieces the package contains and how the forms are divided is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The material is not polystyrene, so the part is glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little away from the seat and sand the remainder so that you do not flood the woven pattern. Before painting wash the part in lukewarm water with dish soap and degrease it.
The set is for builders of large models of aircraft who want an open cockpit furnished in detail, and for modelers who can use a faithful seat in a build or a conversion of their own. It is an accessory to a model of your own; paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
