Hot Metal Burnt Carbon is a toning shade of the Hot Metal line from AMMO of Mig Jimenez, intended for metal colored by high temperature: exhausts, nozzles, barrels and other heated parts of vehicles.
Responsibility details are not available.
Hot Metal Burnt Carbon is an acrylic modeling paint from the Hot Metal line. The line handles one task, but a very common one: imitating the coloring of metal that has been through high temperature. The shades are applied over a metallic surface that shows through them, so the result keeps a metallic character and does not look like an overpainted area.
Where this tone suits
Heated metal does not have one color but a transition. On a motorcycle exhaust, on the nozzle of a jet engine or on a barrel, shades follow one another from the hottest place all the way to a dark, charred end, and it is precisely that end this shade takes care of. It is therefore used at the end of a transition, where the metal is meant to look most tarnished and burnt, or on sooted muzzles and around heat shields.
For modelers of aircraft, motorcycles, vehicles and science fiction machines who want convincing-looking exhausts and barrels instead of flatly painted metal. Anyone who builds regularly will appreciate the whole Hot Metal line; a single shade makes sense as a way of adding the missing end of a transition.
Work in a ventilated room, use respiratory protection when spraying and close the container well after use. Keep out of the reach of children.
