A single blade with a straight edge for modeling work, one piece in the package. Intended for cutting, separating and cleaning up parts.
Responsibility details are not available.
A straight edge is the most used shape in model building. It separates parts, levels a surface after a cut, removes excess material and also suits places where the material is scraped rather than cut. The blade is a consumable part. As soon as it starts tearing the plastic instead of parting it cleanly, it is time to change it, because a blunt edge slips across the surface and damages both the model and your hand.
Always cut away from your body, and preferably with several light passes rather than one heavy one. That way the material is not deformed and the line of the cut stays straight. Put a firm mat under the work; glass and the tabletop are not suitable, because the edge bounces on a hard surface. Hold small parts with tweezers, not with your fingers. Only guide the edge along a ruler if the ruler is metal, as a blade would slice a plastic edge off along with the part. Which handle the blade fits and how it is clamped in it is given in the manufacturer's instructions, so follow those.
Store the blade in its wrapper and do not leave it loose on the tabletop. After work, clear it of plastic residue, because material stuck to the edge prevents a clean cut and stays visible in the groove behind it. Do not use it as a pry bar or for driving screws, as a thin edge breaks under side load and the broken piece flies off. Wrap a discarded blade before you throw it away so that it does not injure anyone taking out the trash.
The package holds one blade with a straight edge. A model and a kit are not included, unless stated otherwise.
