Figures of female characters in 1:18 scale for car models. They will give a display case and a finished model a human scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
Female characters from the car world belong with cars on display just as show girls belong at the starting grid. The 1:18 scale is rewarding for them: a character one hundred and seventy centimeters tall comes out at a little under ten centimeters, and the head alone is over a centimeter. On such a figure the work shows that you would look for in vain in smaller scales, from the shades of the skin to a suggested expression of the face.
These are female characters in 1:18 scale that will stand beside a finished model of a car, in a display case or on a display base. Beside a car they fill a double job: they give it scale, because a viewer can measure a human character up at once, and at the same time they give a scene a story. An empty display case with a car in the middle comes across as a publicity photograph, whereas with a character beside it, it looks like a moment.
Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder down, then wash and degrease the figures. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts. Build the skin on three coats: a base shade, a thin wash into the shadows under the chin and in the folds, and finally a light lightening of the forehead, the nose and the cheekbones. The eyes do call for care at this scale, but even so less is more: a dark line and a hint of an iris look better than a laboriously drawn white of the eye. Finally even the whole figure out with matte varnish and leave the gloss only on the lips, the eyes and the accessories.
For collectors and modelers who display cars in 1:18 scale and want to bring a display case to life. Paints and glue are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
