An aftermarket mixed-media detail set from Top Studio, not a kit in its own right. It combines resin parts, photo-etched metal plates, turned metal fittings and fabric seat belts for finishing the cockpit of a model of the McLaren MP4/5B Formula 1 single-seater in 1:20 scale convincingly.
The McLaren MP4/5B was the Formula 1 car of the 1990 season, powered by a Honda engine, with which Ayrton Senna took the world title. The cockpit of a car of that era leaves room for faithful work on the steering wheel, the seat and the controls.
The set sharpens up the steering wheel, the seat, the belts, the pedals, the fire extinguisher and the switches of the driver's compartment. The result is a markedly more realistic interior that tells on a model with the cockpit left open.
Wash the mold release residue off the resin parts and cut off the casting blocks; glue the photo-etched and metal parts with super glue. Protect your airways when sanding resin. Paint the fabric seat belts and fit them at the end.
This is a detail set, not a kit in its own right; the matching base model is needed to use it. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
