SX-Art 1:35 VT 1-2 holographic film

The set contains self-adhesive holographic film for a faithful imitation of the glass of vision blocks, periscopes and optical instruments on the model of the German experimental fighting vehicle VT 1-2 in 1:35 scale. The film is cut into shapes matching the individual vision blocks and, once stuck down, creates a realistic colored reflection of glass. It is a small but striking accessory, not a model in its own right. It follows the dimensions of the Takom kit.

The real subject

The VT 1-2 was a German experimental prototype of a turretless tank destroyer with a fixed pair of 120 mm guns, which were aimed by turning the whole hull of the vehicle. The concept was meant to test the possibilities of rapid fire and a low silhouette. The prototype has a number of observation vision blocks, which the holographic film picks out strikingly on a model.

Use

• Take the matching shape of film from the sheet and stick it onto the relevant vision block or optic.
• The film changes the shade of its reflection with the viewing angle, which imitates real glass.
• It is usually applied at the end of the build, once the model is painted.
