An injection-molded plastic kit of the American P-51B/C Mustang fighter in 1:72 scale from the Polish manufacturer Arma Hobby. It is a modern, finely detailed mold that belongs among the best in this scale. Depending on the particular edition, photo-etched parts, painting masks and decals for several machines tend to be included.
The P-51B/C version was the early form of the famous Mustang fighter with a framed cockpit canopy (before the later bubble-canopy D version). The decisive step was the switch to the British Rolls-Royce Merlin engine built under license, which gave the Mustang excellent high-altitude performance and a long range. It was with escorting Mustangs that the Allies were able to protect bomber formations all the way over targets deep in Germany.
Finish the finely rendered cockpit before closing the fuselage; the framed canopy can be built open. Protect the glazing with the supplied masks and glue the clear parts with a cement for clear parts. Use liquid modeling cement on the plastic and super glue on the fine photo-etched parts. Apply a primer before painting, lay the metal surfaces and glossy natural metal on with an airbrush and fix the decals over a smooth clear coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
