Wheels in the Campagnolo pattern with a diameter of fifteen inches for models of the Ferrari under the designations 412 and 330, in 1:24 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
Campagnolo cast wheels belong to Italian cars of the 1960s and 1970s as naturally as red paint. Their spokes have a characteristic pattern that an enthusiast recognizes in a photograph before the shape of the body, and on a model they therefore decide whether the car reads as period-correct or not.
Wheels in the version for a fifteen-inch diameter, intended for models of the Ferrari under the designations 412 and 330. The inch figure concerns the real subject: in 1:24 scale a fifteen-inch rim works out to a diameter of just under sixteen millimeters. Against a simplified wheel from an ordinary kit such a rim carries a sharper spoke pattern and a cleaner outline.
Assemble the wheel dry first and try it in the wheel arch; only then glue it. Use cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) to join parts that are not polystyrene; ordinary cement for plastic does not act on them. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little clear of the part and sand the remainder down so that the mating surface stays flat. Wash and degrease the rims and apply a primer before painting. The spoke pattern stands out when a darker shade is drawn into the recesses and the edges are lightly gone over with a dry brush. When gluing, watch that the axis of the wheel stays parallel with the base.
For builders of historic Italian cars in 1:24 scale to whom the period look matters. The kit itself, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
