An injection-molded plastic kit of the Fiat 500 Abarth sporting hatchback of 2008 in 1:24 scale from the Italian maker Italeri. The model captures the compact body with its Abarth aerodynamic parts and a well worked out interior, and it holds plastic and rubber parts (the tires) and decals. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; check the exact contents of the box for this item.
In 2007 the Fiat group brought out the successor to the iconic 500, and the sharper Abarth version was built on it. It differs from the ordinary car in its sporting look, with intakes, side skirts and heavier bumpers, and in its engineering: a turbocharged engine, a sports exhaust with a characteristic sound and a lowered suspension for better handling.
Once the seams are sanded, spray the body with primer and paint; add the typical two-tone combinations and the Abarth markings with decals over a gloss ground. Paint the interior and the engine separately. Glue the glazing with canopy glue so that it does not fog, and fit the chrome details last.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
