The accessory reduces to 1:24 scale the hand controller with which the programmable Power FC engine control unit of the Japanese brand APEXi is operated on modified cars. In a real car it tends to be fixed to the dashboard or by the center console and shows the driver the revolutions, the boost pressure, temperatures and other quantities of the engine. In miniature it is a part the size of a fingernail, which is added to a finished or part-built interior.
The cabin tends to be the poorest part on models of cars: seats, a steering wheel and a couple of knobs. It is precisely small technical objects that turn it into a space that looks used. The Power FC controller moreover places the vehicle unambiguously in the Japanese tuning culture of the nineties, when programmable units spread the most.
Before gluing, rid the part of dust and grease and try dry where in the cabin it falls, which is somewhere else with right-hand drive than with left-hand drive. Super glue or a drop of epoxy holds the joint. The body of the controller looks faithful in a matte anthracite color; darken the display and coat it over with gloss clear so that it behaves like glass. You will make the lead cable from thin soft wire and hide it under the dashboard.
