A set of electrical connectors C in 1:24 scale from Hobby Design serves to terminate the wiring in the engine bay of a car model.
Responsibility details are not available.
Wiring is among the first things that raise an open engine bay from handsome to believable. Wire on its own does not make the reality, though, because in a real car every conductor begins somewhere and ends somewhere, and that means a connector, a grommet or a sleeve. It is exactly this transition that the set of the Hobby Design brand marked with the letter C deals with.
The connectors are fitted to the ends of the lines a modeler makes from wire, and they create the place for a connection to the engine, the alternator, the junction box or the headlamps. They are worked with in an interior too and in the area of the dashboard on racing cars, where the bundles of conductors are visible and make up a striking part of the equipment. Without a termination a line comes across as wire bent into space; with one, as part of the car.
Draw the layout out in pencil on paper first and measure the lengths, because shortening a finished line in the narrow space under a hood is already hard. It is a good idea to tint the connectors before you fit them onto the wire, so that the paint does not get onto the conductor. Work under a magnifier and with sharp tweezers, and pour the components into a dish with a high rim, so that they do not spring off into the carpet.
The item is an accessory for building a model; it holds neither the conductors nor the model itself.
