It holds rims in the style of the 20-inch Fabulous Genesis wheels and tires. The set is meant for modelers who want to swap the wheels supplied in the base kit and build the car in a modified form with large-diameter rims.
Wheels determine the character of a car model more than anything. Changing the rim turns a production car into a modified machine faster than any other step, and with no need to cut the body. The Fabulous style belongs to the Japanese scene of modified luxury sedans, where large light rims are combined with a lowered suspension, so the set aims above all at that styling.
Try the rim in the tire and check how the wheel sits on the axle stub of your kit; the stub may have to be shortened or packed out so that the wheels are in the same plane as the fender. If the surface of the rim is plated, scrape it away where you are gluing so that the glue has something to hold on to. Rubber tires do not take ordinary paints for plastic well, so weather them rather with pigment or a light matte haze. At the end check that all four wheels stand straight, as a wheel fitted crooked is unmissable on a finished model.
The set is supplied without a model of the vehicle. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
