Fire and safety systems in 1:24 scale will add to the cabin of a racing model the elements a kit usually does not offer at all.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of accessories for the interior and the engine bay of a racing car. It is not a model of a car but a group of small elements that turn a modified production car into a real racing machine. In 1:24 scale they are still large enough for a viewer to notice them through a window or an open door.
Circuit and rally regulations alike call for a built-in fire system: a pressure bottle fastened with clamps to the shell of the car, pipework run to nozzles in the cabin and to the engine, a trigger within reach of the crew and a second control outside by the windshield. Added to that is a master electrical cutoff with a terminal on the body and a safety net in the window. These elements are unmissable in photographs of racing interiors, and yet kits mostly do not hold them.
First work out from photographs of the real subject where the bottle belongs, because its position differs from car to car and in a finished cabin it is hard to move. The metal parts stand out over a dark base with drybrushing in a light metal on the edges. Suggest the lines to the nozzles with wire of the same thickness all along. Warning labels by the outside control will give a scene credibility even without readable text.
