A Decalcas decal set in 1:24 scale dresses a model of the Ford Escort Mk. II in the livery of the works entry of Ford Motor Co Ltd with the partner Cossack from the 1975 season. The body and the paints are obtained by the builder separately.
The second generation Escort became a byword in Britain: a light rear-wheel-drive box with a stiff chassis, with which one could drive on the line or sideways according to the mood of the course. In 1975 Roger Clark with his co-driver Jim Porter dominated the Western Mail International Welsh Rally event with a car in the Cossack colors. Clark belonged among the drivers whose name is linked with the Escort perhaps the most closely of all. British rallies were then run mainly on the forest roads of public districts and a car had to take long fast sections far from service.
Once the motifs are in their place and perfectly dry, even the surface out with a fine clear coat. Without it the difference between the gloss varnish of the body and the slightly different sheen of the decal film stays visible under every light, and the model loses half the impression of careful work by it.
