It contains trash cans and waste containers — exactly the kind of street furniture that makes a scene inhabited and keeps an empty base from being left around the model. The castings have the relief of the sheet metal, the ribbing of the walls and the lids modeled in, so after painting and weathering they look used. The accessories can be placed individually or grouped into the nook of an alley.
Metal trash cans and sheet-metal containers belong to the street inventory of cities all over the world; in American scenery you find them in the back alleys behind restaurants, at loading docks and at service stations. It is precisely the garbage and the mess that distinguish a real place from a cleaned-up display case. The cans tend to be dented, with chipped paint, with rust where they touch the paving and with a deposit of dirt at the bottom — a rewarding subject for a modeler, because it is practically impossible to make a mistake in the weathering here.
First wash the resin castings with lukewarm water and dish soap — otherwise the remains of the mold release agent from the mold will not let the paint hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw or a cutter, and never break them off. Sand wet and with respiratory protection, as resin dust does not belong in the lungs. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), and ordinary glue for plastic does not work here. Apply a primer before painting, after which ordinary modeling acrylics are enough. The credibility comes only with the weathering: a dark wash in the recesses, light scuffs on the edges and dust pigment at the foot of the part.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints, a base and figures are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
