Ready-made Hartge wheels in a seventeen-inch diameter with rubber of an ordinary profile, 1:24 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The package contains both rims and tires, so a model comes to wheels from a tuner in a single step. It is worth mentioning that wheels of this kind were not tied to a single carmaker: in reality they were offered for other bodies as well, and in scale even the last obstacle falls away, namely the bolt spacing, which nobody sees on a finished build in any case.
The back of the wheel tends to be shaped for a particular depth of seating. When the wheel protrudes from the arch, there is no need to go looking for another set at once: it is enough to take a little material off the back wall or to shorten the pin, and the wheel moves inward by the 0.1 mm needed.
The opposite case, that is a wheel sunk in too deep, is solved by a shim of thin plastic sheet. A ring punched out with a punch holds its shape far better than layered glue and does not come across as an emergency patch when one looks into the arch.
The rubber from the package has its own inner diameter and does not always sit on the rim to a tenth. When it goes on stiffly, warm it for a few seconds in hot water; it will expand and once cooled will seat without tension. Forcing it on cold leaves a wave in the side that nothing will straighten out again.
At the end, check whether all four wheels stand the same distance from the body. A difference of half a millimeter is more conspicuous from the front than the most careful paint, and it is at the same time easy to remove while the glue is still holding only lightly. It can be measured with an ordinary caliper rested against the side skirt.
