This product is not a model of a car but an accessory set of wheels for automobile models in 1:24 from the tuning range of the Japanese firm Aoshima. It holds chrome-plated rims in the style of the 20-inch Kranze Bazreia wheels, rubber tires and decals. It serves to swap the wheels supplied in the base kit for a more striking version typical of the Japanese scene of modified sedans.
A single change of wheels can do more for a model than hours of work on other details: it changes the stance of the car, its character and the whole impression in a display case. A plated rim with a multi-piece styling and a rubber tire give a finished model a considerably more realistic look than a hard plastic wheel from the base box. The decals with the rim markings then add the last detail.
First fit the rim into the tire dry and check whether the wheel sits on the axle stub of your kit; now and then the stub has to be shortened or packed out. Scrape the plated layer away where you are gluing, otherwise the glue will not hold. Leave the tires without varnish if you can; for weathering a light haze of pigment on the sidewalls and the tread is enough. Apply the decals to a degreased surface and settle them with a decal softener so that they sink into the pressings of the rim.
The set is supplied without a model of the vehicle. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
