The Lancia Delta S4 was a Group B rally special, from the era when practically everything technology allowed went into a rally car. All it shared with the shape of the production Delta was the name and the silhouette: under the body there was a tubular frame, the engine was mounted behind the crew and it had all-wheel drive. The forced-induction four-cylinder engine combined a supercharger with a turbocharger, so the car pulled from low revs and then gave more again higher up. The Rallye Sanremo configuration means a tarmac rally, that is a different setup and a different look for the car than on gravel.
This is a model kit in 1:24 scale, supplied unassembled and unpainted. The range of parts, the decals and the choice of color schemes are given in the manufacturer's instructions. For cars 1:24 is the most widely used scale, so the model sits well with a collection and with the accessories commonly offered in it.
A rally car stands or falls by its paint and its decals, so sand and polish the body carefully before spraying. Apply the paint in thin coats so that the panel divisions do not disappear. Lay the decals onto a gloss base and clear-coat them once dry, so that their edge does not show. Finish the interior with the roll cage and the seats before you close the body.
Paints, glue and thinners are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise. The range of parts supplied is given in the manufacturer's description.
