An injection-molded plastic model of the legendary rally car Lancia Stratos HF in 1:24 scale from the Japanese brand Hasegawa. The set captures the car in its winning form from the 1977 Monte Carlo Rally. The box contains the body parts, a detailed interior, wheels and a decal sheet with the racing markings and the sponsor logos of that campaign.
The Lancia Stratos HF was the first car designed from the ground up specifically for rallying. It was powered by a mid-mounted six-cylinder engine and its short wheelbase and low weight made it one of the most agile competition cars of its era. The Stratos dominated the World Rally Championship in the second half of the 1970s, and its successes include victory in the famous Monte Carlo Rally in 1977.
Glue the parts with modeling cement for plastic. Smooth the body carefully first, lay down a primer and then a gloss coat with an airbrush in thin layers; for deep shine the coat can be polished once it is dry. Apply the racing decals (sponsors and start numbers) only onto a thoroughly dry coat, and you can seal them at the end with a layer of clear coat. It pays to paint and assemble the interior, the roll cage and the wheels before you close up the body.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
