This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:24 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Aoshima covers the Nissan Laurel in the 2000 SGX version in the hardtop form. The model represents the mid-size Japanese sedans of the turn of the 1970s and 1980s, with a sportier flavor.
The Laurel was a range of mid-size to upper-class cars from Nissan. The 2000 SGX version was one of the better-appointed and sportier forms, with a two-liter engine; hardtop denotes a body with no fixed frame around the side windows. The car is a sought-after classic of the Japanese scene today.
Smooth the body, spray it with an airbrush and go over it with a gloss clear coat. Bring out the chrome trim strips and window frames with metallic paints or foil, and let the interior stand out through careful painting of the upholstery. Finish the decals with a final clear coat.
