A plastic kit of the Japanese coupe Mitsubishi FTO in 1:24 scale. The name gives two versions, GPX and GS.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mitsubishi FTO is a compact Japanese front-wheel-drive coupe that appeared in the middle of the 1990s and was aimed above all at the home Japanese market. It came in several trim levels, with the GPX at the top of the range and the GS as the more basic version. The FTO was only rarely met on European roads, and that is exactly why it is a rewarding theme for a collection of Japanese cars of that time, where it balances the better known and far more often built coupes.
It is a kit of a passenger car in 1:24 scale, the most common scale for car models. The name gives both versions, GPX and GS, so the build allows for more than one final form of the car. The exact division of the parts and the extent of the equipment are described in the instructions enclosed with the kit.
On car models the result is decided above all by the paint on the body. So wash the body parts in lukewarm soapy water before spraying and let them dry completely, so that no grease from manufacture or from your hands is left on the surface. Apply the paint in several thin coats with enough of a pause for drying; one heavy coat easily runs together and wipes out the fine edges of the body. Fit the glazing last and glue it with a glue made for clear parts, as ordinary cement for plastic would fog it.
For modelers who build Japanese cars in 1:24 scale or who are just starting a collection of coupes of the 1990s. Paints, glue and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
