Nunu Models 1:24 BMW M3 E30 1988 Spa 24 Hours Winner is a photo-etched detailing set in 1:24 scale for refining the build of a racing car model. It is not a kit of the car but an accessory for one.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains parts of thin etched metal intended to complete and refine a model of the racing BMW M3 E30 in the specification of the winner of the 1988 Spa 24 Hours, in 1:24 scale. Note that this is not a kit of the car: it is an accessory that assumes you already own a matching model in 1:24 scale.
The first-generation BMW M3 with the internal designation E30 is among the most successful touring cars of the second half of the 1980s. The road version was built for Group A homologation, and the racing version then collected wins in touring car championships as well as in endurance events. The Belgian Spa-Francorchamps circuit with its traditional 24-hour race was among the tracks where the M3 made its mark.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp scalpel on a hard surface, not with nippers, because the metal would otherwise deform. Make the folds on a bending tool or at least between two blades so that the edge stays sharp. They are bonded with super glue or with a dedicated adhesive for photo-etched metal; ordinary cement for plastic does not hold on metal. Degrease the metal before painting and use a good primer, otherwise the paint will not grip the smooth surface. Sort the small parts into a dish in advance, they are easy to lose.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
