Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:48 scale from the Japanese maker FineMolds. It captures the particular civil machine named Kamikaze (the Karigane type), which in 1937 made a record flight from Japan to Europe. FineMolds is valued for accuracy and fine detail; the package usually contains a clear canopy part and decals for the given form. Check the exact contents of the package against this item.
The Ki-15 was a single-engine all-metal low-wing monoplane designed as a fast reconnaissance aircraft and a light combat machine; the Allies later gave it the code name Babs. The civil-registered machine named Kamikaze was funded by the newspaper Asahi Shimbun and in 1937 flew from Tokyo to London in record time. It was one of the first Japanese aircraft able to manage such a long route and became a matter of national pride.
Glue the plastic with liquid modeling cement. Finish and paint the cockpit before closing up the fuselage, mask the glazing with tape and spray over a base coat (primer). The civil Kamikaze carried a striking finish with its registration and lettering, so lay the decals onto a gloss coat so that no silvering edges appear. Seat the propeller and the engine carefully so that they line up with the cowling.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
