An injection-molded plastic model of the Japanese automotive legend Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-R in the Street-Custom version in 1:24 scale from the Japanese brand Tamiya. It is a tuned (street) modification of the classic coupe, for which the maker has prepared widened fenders, sports wheels, a front spoiler and other accessories. The set contains photo-etched parts for a faithful rendering of the details and a driver figure.
The Skyline 2000 GT-R from the turn of the 1960s and 1970s, nicknamed the hakosuka among enthusiasts, is one of the most famous Japanese sports cars. Under the hood it carries an inline six-cylinder with DOHC valvetrain, and it collected a string of victories in the racing of its day. The Street-Custom version is based on this coupe and gives it the form of a modified street special.
Sand the body, treat it with a primer and spray it with an airbrush in thin coats; polish the glossy shades or go over them with a gloss varnish. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the interior, the engine and the chrome-plated parts before assembly, glue the glazing with a cement that will not fog it and seal the decals with varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
