This item is not a kit of a car, but an add-on set of parts. An off-road conversion of a civilian vehicle is recognized precisely by the accessories. A model takes on a different character as soon as elements that are not on a stock body are added to it, and these small things are exactly what sets an ordinary build from a box apart from a model with a story of its own. The set is intended to be fitted onto a finished or a part-built model, not for building a vehicle from scratch.
Before gluing, try laying the parts on dry and think the placement through, so that it looks convincing and symmetrical. Glue small parts in spots with super glue, degrease the surfaces first and spray them over with a primer, so that the paint holds. Off-road accessories look best when they are not perfectly clean, so it pays to dust them with pigments once sprayed and to suggest chipped paint on the edges. Finish the painting before you fit the parts onto the body, as that way you reach every surface.
