A set of wheels of the PD3 Forged pattern in the form for a twenty-one-inch diameter, in 1:24 scale. A replacement for the wheels from a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
Prior Design is a make associated with accessories for modifying series automobiles, and PD3 Forged is the designation of one of its wheel patterns. A twenty-one-inch diameter belongs to modern cars and to conversions, not to a period form, so swapping the wheels moves the whole model in that direction. The word Forged in the designation relates to the forged form of the real wheel, that is to the subject; it says nothing about the material of the parts in the set.
Wheels of the PD3 Forged pattern in 1:24 scale, in the form for a diameter of twenty-one inches. The figure in inches relates to the real car: in 1:24 scale a twenty-one-inch rim works out to a diameter of roughly twenty-two millimeters. Compare that value with the arch of your model before you reach for the glue.
Put the wheel together dry first and try it in its place, and only then glue. Parts that are not of polystyrene are joined with cyanoacrylate glue; solvent cement for plastic has no effect on them. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little from the part and sand the remainder so that the mating surface stays flat. Wash the rims before painting, degrease them and apply a primer. While gluing, watch that the axis of the wheel stays parallel with the surface and that all four wheels touch the base.
For builders of automobile models in 1:24 scale who want to give a car the look of a modified version and give the wheels the same attention as the body. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
