Eduard 1:24 Luftwaffe seat belts (Second World War) is a pre-colored photo-etched set of safety belts for the cockpits of German aircraft. It is an accessory, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A pre-colored photo-etched set of seat belts in 1:24 scale from the Czech maker Eduard (Obrnice near Most). The set faithfully replaces simplified plastic or missing belts in the pilot's space and so adds a striking detail to an open cockpit at a large scale. This is not an airplane model but a stand-alone detail accessory.
The belts are based on the equipment used in the cockpits of the Luftwaffe during the Second World War. The color etching captures the shades of the webbing as well as the metal buckles, so the parts read realistically as soon as they are broken out of the fret.
Break the parts carefully out of the fret with a sharp blade and make the bends over a metal ruler. Gentle warming and pressure will help in forming the webbing, and the parts can be fitted with super glue. The self-adhesive version holds once the backing film is peeled off, and it is worth securing the joints with a drop of glue.
The accessory is supplied as a set of photo-etched parts. The airplane model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
