The Toyota Celsior C type of 1989 in 1:24 scale, a model of the luxury sedan that shook up the world market.
Responsibility details are not available.
A kit of the large Japanese sedan in 1:24 scale. The subject is a car of the highest class, and its launch counts among the most important moments of the Japanese car industry.
The Celsior was unveiled in the fall of 1989 and was sold on the home market under exactly this name, while on export markets it went out under a new luxury brand. The engineering consisted of an all-aluminum four-liter V8, rear-wheel drive and an exceptional emphasis on quiet running and refinement. It was that quietness and precision of build that forced the established European makers to rethink what quality means in the class of large sedans. The C type designation refers to one of the trim levels by which the home-market range was divided.
The large flat panels of the body are the biggest challenge on a sedan: they need a perfectly prepared surface, because even a slight ripple shows in a deep gloss. Dark pearl and silver metallic finishes match the taste of the period. The chrome trim around the windows and the grille stands out if you separate it with precise masking or lay it in with a fine brush.
The parts are supplied unassembled and unpainted; the glue and paints needed have to be bought separately.
