This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:24 scale captures the Toyota GT-One TS020 sports prototype in the form it ran at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1999. The body faithfully conveys the elaborate aerodynamics of the car; a removable rear cover gives a view of the detailed twin-turbocharged V8 engine even when the model is finished. Painting masks for spraying the body accurately and decals for two competition numbers are included.
The Toyota GT-One TS020 was among the fastest closed prototypes of the late 1990s. At Le Mans in 1999 it led for a long time and lost victory to a tire failure only an hour before the finish, yet it came home in second place. It was powered by a turbocharged V8 and its aerodynamics were exceptionally advanced for the time.
Deburr the smooth body carefully and spray it with an airbrush, as its qualities stand out under a gloss coat. Assemble and paint the engine and the chassis before the body is closed up. The enclosed painting masks make it easier to separate the color areas precisely, and the decals should be sealed with a gloss coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
