A plastic kit of the Nissan R92CP circuit prototype in the colors of the sponsor YHP in 1:24 scale from the Japanese maker Hasegawa. The model captures the top machine of the Japanese branch of Group C, a closed prototype with a striking aerodynamic package and an unmistakable blue and white finish.
The Nissan R92CP was developed for the Japanese sports prototype championship and represented the peak of the Nissan circuit racers of the turn of the 1980s and 1990s. It was powered by a turbocharged eight-cylinder engine and in the 1992 season the car dominated the championship; the Group C era was drawing to a close in Japan at the time, so the R92CP went down as one of its last winners. The low silhouette with enclosed wheels and a massive rear wing is still among the most beautiful shapes in circuit racing history.
Plan the two-color division of the body in advance: spray the light shade first, mask it once it has cured and add the blue. Apply the gloss top coat only once the decals are on, so that the sponsor markings blend with the surface. The wheel covers and the edges of the aerodynamic elements call for careful fitting: try the parts dry before gluing.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
