Dipping ink 60 ml - DUSTY BLUE DIP is a dipping ink from the acrylic range of Green Stuff World. It is applied generously and runs into the recesses by itself, where it darkens the shadow and so brings out the relief of a figure. The name of the shade refers to a dusty blue.
Despite the name of the technique, most modelers today manage without actually immersing anything and work with a brush - it is cleaner and uses less paint. Take a brush with good carrying capacity, load it properly and lay the paint over the whole part at once; the point is not to paint, but to let the layer distribute itself. Where the technique most often fails is on horizontal surfaces: shoulders, shields, the top edges of a base. There the excess stays put and once dry a dark stain remains. The remedy is simple - wipe the brush into a paper towel and draw the excess paint off those places while the layer is still wet.
