Paint Set - Dipping collection 01

Paint Set - Dipping collection 01: a set of dipping inks

Green Stuff World offers here a set of dipping inks in one package. A dipping ink differs from an ordinary paint mainly in how it is handled. It is applied generously, runs into the recesses, engraved lines and folds by itself and darkens the shadow precisely there, while on the raised areas only a faint veil of it remains. A single pass thus creates shading that would take a long time with a brush and come out uneven.

Why inks are bought as a group

Dipping makes sense only once you have several tones at hand. Several different materials meet on one model and each of them wants a different coloring of the shadow. Anyone who buys inks one at a time usually finds out in the middle of the work that the very next one is missing for finishing, and has to stop. A package from one range removes this problem and keeps the same character across the whole model.

How to work with a dipping ink

• Apply generously and let the ink run by itself; do not push it into the area with the brush.
• Pick the excess off the raised places with a clean squeezed-out brush.
• Shake the bottle properly before use, the pigment settles to the bottom.
• The effect can be built up by applying it again; one pass tends to be subtler.
• Wash the brush out immediately after work, as dried ink is hard to get out of the bristles.

Who the set is for

For modelers and figure painters who want to get depth into a model quickly, and also for anyone who is only trying dipping out and wants a whole group of tones available at once.

Keep out of the reach of children, work on a protected surface and in a well-ventilated room.
