GREEN GLOW Resin Crystals - Medium

What the package offers

Crystals of resin in a green color version, in the medium of the sizes offered. They are supplied finished: the modeler only arranges and glues them, nothing is assembled or bent on them. The same range has the same version in a smaller size as well, so two packages can be joined into a group in which smaller pieces grow around the larger ones.

Where it fits

Into fantasy and science-fiction scenes, on bases of figures, into caves, shafts and abandoned laboratories. A green tone is traditionally read as poisonous or contaminated, so it suits containers of waste, cracks in the ground and settings where a scene is to look unhealthy. On the small area of a base one or two pieces are enough; a whole cluster of crystals is carried only by a larger base.

How to work with them

• The material is not polystyrene and cement for plastic has no effect on it; use super glue.
• Wash and degrease the foot of the crystal and the glued area beforehand.
• Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder.
• The crystals have their color tone from production; a coat of paint would cover it.
• Sinking the foot into the terrain looks better than a crystal laid on the surface.
• Add the loose materials around at the very end, otherwise dust will settle on the crystals.
• Apply super glue in spots; a coat over an area dulls the surrounding surface.
