1:72 Masks for F-100F Super Sabre is a set of painting masks for spraying the glazing of a model in 1:72 scale from Artillery models. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for one.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of pre-cut painting masks in 1:72 scale from Artillery models. They serve to cover the glazing during spraying and are cut for a particular kit of the type. It is not an airplane model but an accessory that belongs with one.
The masks are laid onto the individual panes of the glazing, the area is sprayed with paint and, once dry, the mask is lifted off. The result is sharp framing edges, which are hard to achieve by covering with tape by hand, especially in the small 1:72 scale, where the canopy frames are often only a few tenths of a millimeter wide. The method saves time and reduces the risk of paint creeping under tape that has been cut imprecisely. Because the set is cut for a particular kit, we recommend checking before buying that it fits the model you are building.
The North American F-100 Super Sabre was the first production fighter of the US Air Force able to exceed the speed of sound in level flight. The F-100F version is a two-seater with a lengthened fuselage and a cockpit for two in tandem. Besides training it also served in combat, among other things in suppressing anti-aircraft defenses during the Vietnam War. A two-seat cockpit means larger and more broken-up glazing than on the single-seat versions, so a masking set is particularly worthwhile on this variant.
The set is meant for a particular kit of the type in 1:72 scale. Please check compatibility with your model beforehand.
