A resin replacement set, not a standalone model. It replaces the exhaust stacks of a plastic model of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190D-9 fighter in 1:32 scale with faithfully cast parts with properly formed openings, which look more realistic than the plastic parts from the kit. The Quickboost brand belongs to the Aires family and specializes in quick, easy-to-use resin accessories.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190D-9, nicknamed Dora, was the version of the famous German fighter of the late Second World War powered by an inverted V12 engine. The longer nose with a liquid-cooled engine improved its performance at altitude. The exhaust stacks are among the details that catch the eye on a model.
Wash the mold release residue off the parts and separate them carefully from the casting block. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The exhausts come into their own once painted in dark, burnt shades and lightly emphasized with pigments or a wash; darken the openings for the effect of sooted metal.
