AK Interactive Tungsten Steel Engraving Scriber

The Tungsten Steel Engraving Scriber from AK Interactive is a hand engraving tool (a scriber) intended for engraving lines into the surface of a model in various materials. The body of the tool is made of a quality aluminum alloy and the engraving tip is made of tungsten steel, which is very hard and resistant to going blunt. A protective cap for the tip is included. The tool creates a shallow groove by drawing the tip repeatedly across the surface under light pressure.

Use

• engraving new panel lines into plastic, resin and other materials
• restoring and deepening lines that have been rubbed away while sanding and filling joints
• precise scraping and picking out details on the surface of a model
• it works on the pull stroke across the surface; use a metal ruler or firm guide tape as a guide for a straight line
• engrave gradually, with repeated light strokes, until the groove reaches the depth you want
