Tamiya Anti-Slip Sticker 75 x 150 mm - a self-adhesive non-slip sheet

A small but quietly useful aid for the modeling bench from the Japanese brand Tamiya. It is a self-adhesive sheet measuring 75 x 150 mm with a non-slip surface, from which you cut a piece of exactly the shape you need with scissors or a scalpel and stick it where something keeps sliding away. It is not a paint or an accessory for a model but equipment for the workbench.

Where it is useful

• Under stands, holders and mats that slide across the top of the bench.
• In the jaws of vises and holders, so the part does not slip and does not get scratched.
• On the bottom of bottles of paint and thinner, which tip over easily.
• On a ruler or a template while cutting, so it does not move during a pass of the scalpel.
• On a surface across which wheels, resin parts and other small items roll away.

How to work with it

Degrease the surface you will stick it to first and let it dry thoroughly - the adhesive does not hold on a greasy or dusty surface. Cut the sheet with a small margin and round the corners, because a sharp corner is the first to lift. When you need to cover a larger area, make it up from several pieces side by side instead of one large piece - it goes on more easily without bubbles. With parts you want to remove again later, test the adhesion in a less visible place first.
