A colored interior set from Quinta Studio in 1:32 scale intended for models of the A-6E TRAM Intruder attack aircraft. These are not classic flat decals but 3D-printed multilayer elements printed on decal paper, which have real relief. The set typically includes instrument panels, side panels, controls and other details of the cockpit with pre-printed colors, lettering and the reflections of the instrument glass.

The real subject

The A-6 Intruder was a two-seat carrier-based attack aircraft able to operate in any weather and at night. The TRAM version (Target Recognition Attack Multi-sensor) brought an improved sensor turret for precise identification and attack of targets. A faithful cockpit therefore completes the character of this machine.

Use

• the elements are cut from the sheet, dipped in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slid off the backing paper into the cockpit
• they replace hand painting and photo-etched sets and speed detailing up considerably
• they have no adhesive layer of their own: degrease the surface and coat it with gloss, and do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as they would attack the printed resin
