A photo-etched set of seat belts in steel (STEEL) from Eduard for a model of the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M5c Zero fighter in 1:32 scale. The steel range is more pliable than the brass one, so the parts hold their shape better and drape over the seat more faithfully. It is not an airplane model but a detail accessory for the cockpit.
The belts replace the flat plastic or missing parts from an ordinary kit and bring a faithful relief of the buckles. In the large 1:32 scale the open cockpit of the Zero is clearly visible, so realistic pilot's gear noticeably raises the level of the interior. The steel form usually comes pre-printed and ready for immediate use.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade and form them with tweezers; steel holds a bend better than softer metals. Glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The buckles can be picked out and the whole fixed with a fine matte varnish.
This is a detail accessory. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
