Art Scale 1:32 AH-1G Cobra (late), double-sided masking set is a set of pre-cut masks for spraying the glazing of the attack helicopter from the outside and from the inside. It is not a kit but an accessory for a build. The masks are cut for the ICM and Special Hobby kits.

The set contains masks cut to the outline of the clear parts of a model of the AH-1G Cobra attack helicopter in its late production configuration, in 1:32 scale. The model itself is not included; it is an aid for painting for the ICM and Special Hobby kits. The double-sided designation means that the set allows for masking the glazing from both sides, so the framing can be sprayed in the interior color from inside and in the covering shade from outside. On a helicopter with as much glazing as the Cobra the difference shows at once: the inner frames are clearly visible through the glass, and left untreated they spoil an otherwise well-built model.
The real subject
The AH-1G Cobra is a single-engine attack helicopter of American manufacture, derived from the drive train and the rotor of the UH-1 helicopter. Its distinguishing features are a very narrow fuselage, a tandem cockpit for the pilot and the gunner, short stub wings and a swiveling turret under the nose. The late production configuration differs from the early machines in design details.
Wash and degrease the clear part. Lift the masks off the sheet with a point or tweezers and seat them so that the edge lines up with the engraved frame; press from the center outward so that no bubble stays under the mask. With double-sided work the usual practice is to mask and spray the inside first in the interior color, and only then the outside with the primer and the covering shade. Spray in thin coats; heavily laid paint tears when the mask is lifted. Lift the masks once the paint has dried, while it is not yet fully cured, and remove glue residue with a mild product that will not attack clear plastic.
It is a masking accessory for a build, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
