This set from the BRASSIN line is a resin detailing accessory, not an aircraft model. It holds a set of accurately cast AIM-9B Sidewinder guided missiles in 1:32 scale for hanging under the wings or the fuselage of fighter models. It is usually supplemented with decals and photo-etched parts for a faithful rendering of the fins and the details.
The AIM-9B Sidewinder was an American short-range air-to-air guided missile with infrared guidance and one of the first production versions of this widespread family of missiles. It was carried on the fighters of a number of Western air forces from the end of the 1950s onward.
Wash the parts to remove mold release residue and separate them from the casting blocks. Bond the resin and the photo-etch with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the missiles according to the period scheme; decals with colored bands markedly raise the realism of the result.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
