This Eduard product from the Brassin line is a resin detail set, not a kit in its own right. It offers replacement turbo-superchargers for models of the four-engine B-17G Flying Fortress bomber in 1:32 scale. The castings faithfully capture the characteristic routing of the ducting and the feeds to each of the four engines.
The turbo-superchargers sit on the underside of the engine nacelles and are clearly visible on the model. The set reproduces them faithfully, including the open waste gates typical of ground operations, which adds a realism to the model that injection-molded plastic cannot manage. The parts replace the less detailed components of the base kit.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Check the fit against the nacelles before gluing. They come into their own once they are painted in metallic shades and given a patina (a wash and pigments).
This is a refining accessory for a plastic model, not a kit in its own right. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
