The cast barrels and bodies of the weapons have markedly finer detail than the standard plastic parts.
You fit the resin machine guns into the defensive positions of the model, that is into the turrets and the waist positions. That gives you sharper, more faithful detail of the defensive armament, which stands out well in the large 1:32 scale. The set is intended for a matching plastic kit of the B-17G.
First wash the parts to remove any release agent, carefully cut off the casting blocks (gates) at the thin barrels and glue with cyanoacrylate. Wear respiratory protection while sanding. It is an accessory for more advanced modelers.
The set contains resin parts. Paints, glue and the model itself are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
