Photo-etched accessories for a model of the German Bf 109F-2 fighter in 1:32 scale, for modelers for whom the contents of the box is not enough.
Responsibility details are not available.
The F-2 version opened the service of the Friedrich range, that is the cleanest-shaped form of the German Bf 109 fighter. With it the designers rounded the wingtips, simplified the radiators and freed the tail surfaces of external struts; the result was faster and more pleasant to control than the older Emil. The engine was a liquid-cooled Daimler-Benz twelve-cylinder placed in an inverted V, and the main weapon fired through the hollow shaft of the propeller. Machines of this version flew on both main fronts in 1941.
The difference between a plastic and an etched part is visible at first glance exactly with thin surfaces. Metal holds a sharp edge, can be bent into the real shape and does not look a class larger than it should be. In the large scale of 1:32 this shows most, because the model is looked at up close. The list of parts and the kit the set is drawn for are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Store the fret flat; a bent part is hard to straighten. Work over a light surface with an edge, as a tiny piece otherwise disappears into the carpet. Separate the parts by a cut right at the fret tab and sand the remaining projection with a fine file. Lead the bend along the scored line in one movement. Apply the glue in a minute amount and wipe the excess off at once, as on metal it is well visible once dry. Before painting, degrease the surface and prime it.
For more experienced modelers who, with a large model of the Bf 109F, reckon with work with tweezers and do not mind a slower procedure. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
