Photo-etched parts for a model of the Italian Macchi MC.200 Saetta fighter in 1:48 scale. Thin metal replaces the places where plastic comes out thick.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of photo-etched parts in thin metal sheet for a model of the Italian MC.200 Saetta fighter. Photo-etch is used where the subject is sheet metal, a grille or small fittings, and where a plastic part necessarily comes out thicker than the scale would allow. The parts are held in a carrier fret on thin tabs and are cut from it only at the moment of fitting.
The MC.200 Saetta is an Italian single-seat fighter, the machine with which the Regia Aeronautica entered the Second World War. Early machines had the cockpit covered with glazing; later batches lacked it and flew with an open cockpit. The Saetta counted as an agile and sturdy aircraft, but in speed and weight of fire it lagged behind its opponents. It flew over the Mediterranean, over the Balkans and on the Eastern Front.
For modelers who build Italian machines of the Second World War and want detail that matches the scale even where plastic would look coarse. The work is slower, but the result is finer than a build from the kit alone.
The package holds photo-etched parts. The kit, the paints and the glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
