This product of the Eduard brand from the Brassin line is a resin detail set of a cockpit, not a kit of an airplane in its own right. It serves to replace and noticeably sharpen the pilot's compartment of models of the Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 in 1:32 scale. The set holds cast resin parts filled out with colored photo-etched elements, which give the cockpit a realistic look straight out of the box.
The package typically includes the floor, the sidewalls, the seat with the armor, the instrument panel, the pedals, the front bulkhead and other equipment of the cockpit. The colored photo-etch (the instrument panel, the belts) allows fine details to be reached that injection-molded plastic will not capture. The set is intended to be glued into the base model after the fuselage has been adjusted.
First wash the resin parts clean of the remains of the mold release agent, carefully cut the casting blocks off and sand the surfaces with protection of the airways. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Check the fit with the fuselage before gluing it in and adjust it by sanding if needed. The details stand out once painted and gently brought out with a wash.
This is a sharpening accessory for a plastic model, not a kit in its own right. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
