The set holds resin exhausts for a model of the Bf 109G-6 fighter in 1:32 scale. Quickboost is a brand of aftermarket accessories; the exhausts have faithfully cast shapes and in many cases drilled-out ends as well, which is a marked improvement over the simplified plastic parts from the kit. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for raising the detail.
The Bf 109G-6 was powered by an inverted V12 engine whose exhaust stubs emerged along the sides of the forward fuselage. On this type a faithful rendering of the exhausts is one of the prominent details visible on a finished model.
Wash the parts free of mold release residue, separate the casting blocks and sand the surfaces down. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Spray the exhausts with a dark metallic undercoat, then shades of burnt steel and rust; pigments and a wash will give the realistic staining of the exhaust gases.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as resin parts. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
