An HGW markings set in 1:32 scale for a particular Bf 109E-7 machine with the code S9+FS.
Responsibility details are not available.
The item concerns a sheet of markings for a large model of the Emil, not a kit. The method of transfer, the carrier and the extent of the sheet are not stated here, because they do not follow from the available information; what is certain is the focus on a single particular machine, whose fuselage code is written in the name.
The E-7 version closed the development line of the Emils. The main novelty was a pylon under the fuselage, onto which a drop tank or a bomb carrier could be hung; from a purely fighter aircraft it thus became a machine usable for attacks on ground targets and for actions over the sea with greater range. The Emil had a DB 601 engine with direct fuel injection, angular cockpit glazing and a wing with characteristic leading-edge slats. By 1941 newer versions were already replacing it in the units, but with the machines intended for ground attack it served on. That is exactly why Emils appear in the modeling range to this day in a whole span of scales.
For builders of large Messerschmitts who want to build a particular machine, and not just an aircraft of the given type in general. In 1:32 scale the markings are a prominent element and decide how a model looks from close up.
