This accessory set of water-slide decals in 1:32 scale holds the technical legends, warning and maintenance markings (so-called stencils) for the model of the American Douglas TBD-1 Devastator carrier-based torpedo bomber. These small markings give the model realism and make a fitting supplement to the main marking sets.
Besides their national insignia the real aircraft carried a great many small technical legends: instructions for ground crew, markings for filler points and access panels, and safety notices. It is precisely this detail that sets an ordinary model apart from a faithful replica. The TBD-1 Devastator was a carrier-based torpedo bomber of the US Navy from the early part of the Second World War.
Apply the small decals patiently onto a finished, smooth and glossy surface, ideally after the main markings have been applied. Use tweezers and a decal softener so that the legends settle into the panel lines. Once dry, unify the surface with matte varnish.
Neither the aircraft model nor paints are included in the package. The set holds only the technical decals.
